Many people who want to learn Spanish are intimidated because they think it will be difficult to do. That’s partially because the Spanish language is so different from the English language. However, it should ease your mind to know that experts say it is 10 times more difficult to learn the English language than it is to learn the Spanish language.

That’s right! Native Spanish speakers and others who are not natively English-speaking face a far of bigger challenge than we do. That’s because we have so many silent letters, and our language rules seem to be “made to be broken.”

Hopefully, knowing that will motivate you a little bit. The chances are good that you know a native Spanish speaker who was able to learn the English language. If they are able to learn the English language, which is far more difficult, then you’ll be able to learn Spanish language!

Of course, it certainly helps if you have good learning materials to help you learn Spanish as easily as possible. If you are relying on methods that are outdated, or are simply not motivating to you, then you will probably find it quite difficult to learn Spanish. If you have good materials to study and learn from it will make it far easier for you.

One of the best things you can do is to make use of one of the comprehensive courses that are available. These use several different components to help you learn. It doesn’t matter whether you are a visual learner, auditory learner, kinesthetic learner, or something else — using different lesson components will ensure that the needs of your learning style are met, and that the information sinks in more quickly.

That’s not to say that learning Spanish is something that is going to happen in a couple days or that you won’t get frustrated with it. It is something very different from our own language — that can be difficult to overcome! Still, you can definitely learn Spanish quickly and easily if you put your mind to it and invest in the right materials.

Don’t come into this thinking that Spanish will be too hard for you to learn. You have to realize that while it can be difficult at some points, it is not a task that is insurmountable. Put your mind to it and learn and practice regularly, and you will be a fluent Spanish speaker before you know it!
