How Long Would It Take To Learn Spanish Fluently?

I am currently taking German in school, but I desperately want to learn Spanish as well. However, my schedule doesn’t allow for any more classes because of their intensity.
If I start learning after high school, how long will it take me?

Since English is not a language derived from latin, its much harder than say, if you were Italian and wanted to learn Spanish. You may be able to learn a few phrases here and there but to speak it and write it fluently, it will probably be a few years. I you were to move to a spanish speaking country, it would take much less because you are fully inmersed in the language. In that case maybe a year and a half-two years to really be fluent.
I have the opposite situation. I have learned Spanish already, now I am studying german. If you live near a Spanish-speaking country, it will be easy. You could learn it well in about 2 years. If you don’t have many people to converse with, it would be much longer.
On a side note, I never asked what “fluent” is to you.
I could converse well after 2 years….I am going on 20 years now, and I still learn things.
